Not getting spark
I'm new to the whole mud motor scene, and got a beavertail with a (Vanguard) Briggs & Stratton Model 185487. Problem is i can't get the dang thing to start. I know i'm getting fuel and air, but i know i'm not getting spark. Put a new killswitch on it thinking it was that, no such luck. Put in a new plug, still no go. Could the coil be bad? I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated

Re: Not getting spark
Most longtails have a mercury switch, this only allows the motor to be started at a certain angle. Which is handle down with the prop it off water, goes its for safety reasons. They are usually cylindrical diameter is around a AA or AAA battery but I bit shorter. Have you looked into this.
