Need to find procedure for setting tps and iac. My 37 efi gtr xd will start cold at around 800 rpms, but when it warms up it idles at 1400-1600 rpms in neutral. If I am running the boat and come all the way off the throttle it will stay at around 2000 rpms or more. It may come down to 1600 or 1700 after a few minutes but maybe not. I have high idled in neutral and when I come down back off the throttle i have seen it not want to come down below 3000 rpms. In gear and high idle will not act this way when I first shift, only after I have revved up and then am coming back to idle. This is a center console rig with mercury throttle. Engine is all stock with about 25 hrs. |

Disconnect the cable and see how it acts. I can tell u how to set it but it's not making sense |

Also could be a sticking iac, wiring or I've even seen an ecu with a bad iac driver |

Do you mean to disconnect the iac or the tps? I called delta this morning. They seemed to think it was the tps either needing to be set or faulty. Depending on how it acts when I disconnect the cables this afternoon will determine where I go from here. |

Forgot to add it is throwing a 0336 code. Found this by cycling key on/off three times. |

I was referring to disconnecting the throttle cable to ensure issue is in engine itself. The code you have is common but not likely causing high idle. Are you under warranty? |

I am under warranty. I took it to delta and it did in fact end up being the throttle cable. Man I felt like a retard. Thanks for the help Will. |
