Locked up 35 vangaurd
Recently bought a 35 GTR. The guy I bought it from claimed the filter spun loose and the motor locked up from lack of oil. What are some worse case scenarios and best case as far as rebuilding the bottom end. Where would be the best place to buy a short block?

you will need crank, rods, pistons, bore, maybe a front bearing, maybe a case cover.... Id buy a short block and use the extremities.

Why not just buy an entire new powerhead? Not a whole lot more expensive but you get the warranty, new exhaust, and new electronics on it. Not sure what year yours is too, but it also wont have the traditionally leaky case gasket on it either.
