| Post subject: | Mud buddy Black Death 44 hp trim and tilt motor |
Hello all, I recently purchased an 18’ excel with a Black Death 44 hp motor on it without reverse and am having an immense amount of trouble finding a replacement trim and tilt motor for it. From what I gather the trim and tilt system comes from a 90hp merc but I don’t have any idea what year or actual model used this setup ans all of the ones I have found so far are either 4 bolt trim motors or are two bolts but are missing the spacer at the Morton or have the wires in a different location. Does anyone have an exact replacement model number or motor year I could use to pick one of these oil at one of my local merc dealers so I can get out on the water this year. I’ll try and attach some images so you all can see what trim motor I’ve got exactly. Thanks in advance. |

For anyone who runs into this same issue the trim and tilt motor is the same as the one that’s used on a 2018 115 pro xs merc but unfortunately not many companies actually make aftermarket parts for mercs anymore and they can’t be found cheaper than on the bps website. With shipping expect to pay around $280 for one of these |
