Texas mud motors gtr 35 build
I have a 1860 gatortrax with twin gtr 35s bone stock with about 230 hours. For the past 50 hours I had been struggling to get the motors to start, keep them running and couldn’t seem to get the speed and power I used to have. I had taken to it several mechanic, all with no luck. I was to the point of selling the boat. Had actually posted the motors for sale on Craigslist but luckily didn’t get an offer I wanted for them. I decided to do some reading on this forum and ran across Will with Texas Mud Motors. Sent me a pm one evening and got a call from him first thing the next morning. After a 5 minute conversation, Will not only had be convinced he knew what he was talking about and doing with mud motors but had identified my problem over the phone. Valves were seating right and this not making enough vacuum to pull fuel. I took my boat to him for a stage one build, exhaust and new props and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. Will runs a top notch shop and does excellent work and stands behind it. I had a little issue when I first took my boat out after getting it back from him and he not only answered the phone that Saturday but offered to come meet me (I live an hour and a half away from him) to fix the issue. My boat now is running better than it ever had and has way more torque. Now quickly planes off with 7 men in deep water and tops out at just over 30mph in deep water. Very impressed with Will’s service, work and support. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for mild to major motor work.
