My 37 EFI will start cold no problem but if I run it, let it sit for a few minutes and allow the fuel pump to prime before restarting, it will not start. It is acting as if it is flooded, but this cannot be in an EFI. If I turn the key without waiting for prime, I have no issues starting it. So if I accidentally allow prime, I get stuck waiting for a long time before I can restart.

I was getting stuck for 30-45 minutes at a time waiting for it to start until I figured out this trick. anyone know what might be causing this? I found this thread from a mower forum and was wondering if anyone here had seen this problem. I searched but wasn't having luck:

On top of your hi pres pump is a 1/8 rubber line that will bleed overflow into the aluminum adapter on top of throttle body. Remove line and let it prime, see if fuel is coming out flooding ur engine, if so then yes u should replace the module

I got into the fuel module this afternoon. No fuel coming out of the overflow. I tried to recreate the issue and I could not do it today on the trailer. It seems to happen after getting hot or running for a long time.
