I have a 2012 35 HP Pro Drice auto reverse that has a Mikuni carb and exhaust kit the previous owner installed. Last winter I did a carb rebuild to help with starting and stalling issues. Now it starts great and will run good until you get to the last bit of throttle. Throttle response seems fine but at full throttle the engine keeps cutting out/ revving. Could the Main jet be under or oversized due to the exhaust? Does anyone know the jet size I should most likely be using? I read standard was a #160 but with exhaust mods may need #165 but that was on a Motorcycle. |

Sounds lean by description. Check plugs for color, try goin up to a bit on main jet size. I little crust inside a main jet does make them smaller. |

How would i check for a limiter? It does almost sound like a limit it’s hitting. |

Here are the spark plugs. Lot of Carbon build up. |

The plug on right looks like a large gap. I dont seen any lean signs. As far as limiter, what year is your engine? We need to know if its cdi or non cdi. Is there a specific rpm that it acts up at? |

Is your fuel pump supplying enough fuel? The engine could be starving. |
