I replaced my ignition over the weekend, got wires backwards,
Burnt my kill switch wire diodes. My engine will not even crank, did I blow a fuse, or since I don’t have that diode wire for the kill switch will make it not crank. I have looked all over on this engine and cannot find a fuse anywhere.

There is probably not a fuse but u can add one. The diode needs to be snipped out . When they fail it can dead short the circuit . pay close attention to the pto switch. Its often the weak link.

And too clarify im talking about the big diode in the control box not the 2 little guys by the coils. If u have unplugged the old coil kill wires and it still wont start it could be no 12v to the fuel shutoff solenoid. Chase that hot wire back to ign switch

I know which diode your talking about, can I just eliminate that wire or do I gotta put a jumper wire in? I have power to my fuel solenoid. I can hear that click when I turn the key. The engine will not turn over, I was thinking kill switch might be a ground for the ignition to let electricity pass through to excite the starter?

Does the starter solenoid click if you give it 12 V from the battery? If the starter works with 12V, but you turn the key and nothing, the solenoid might be fried, or that 12v yellow wire from the key switch may not be sending power to the solenoid. You can find that out by testing just the solenoid.

And yes just cut that diode out. Do not replace it with anything

Thank you Will!! I cut that diode and it cranked over and started. Just as I was told it would not shut off with the key. But I pulled the plug boots and killed her. Thank you again guys for your help! Huge sigh of relief today.
