Hi Guys, I’m looking to install the Carb kit Mikuni 42mm of BPS on my GoDevil SD35 2011. Anyone has did that and is satisfied ? Any reliability issue after the modifications Thx for your help Martin |

Everyone has had issues. Mainly because of the investments they decide to do after because they want more power. No, editing the fuel provider wont hurt reliability at all. Just remember you won't have a governor anymore to limit rpms. #CFFITR #mudmotor>physics |

Thanks for the answer. Not sure I understand, people has issue because they want more power so they spent more money ? Just the carb kit will not gave me extra couple HP? Regards |

Yes. People get a carb. Then they want headwork to take more advantage of the extra fuel and air. Then an exhaust. Then a cam. Etc. The carb alone doesn't affect reliability directly, you just lose the built in governor, so no rev limit with the older non-cdi engines unless you add the rev limiter from bps. A stock 35 or a 35 with headwork can actually get benefit from using a 36mm flat slide mikuni. That's how i set up my Dad's. But his has no cam or aftermarket exhaust, so the 36mm is plenty. The 42 is fine, but more carb than is needed on a stock 35 briggs. #CFFITR #mudmotor>physics |

Have you considered the Ecotrons EFI kit? It has worked well for me for several years. |

Ecotrons fuel injection. Google it. Great throttle response, no carb icing, better fuel economy, and easy cold weather start. I started running it before Briggs offered EFI. On an otherwise stock 35hp engine the performance was the same as a 37. |

Yes, the 36 made quite the difference with a load both before and after the headwork, and is faster empty. A 42 will as well. #CFFITR #mudmotor>physics |
