I need to clear up the bit about Earl33.. It is a BIG JOKE..He was fuk!ng with me. In fact, he was supposed to tell the truth about it today. When I read that post, I started calling him because when I sell a boat, I give proper directions and paperwork (showing taxes paid) to enable the boat to be registered. No one has had problems yet. In fact, I have been applauded for making it so easy.

I have looked at every rig. It is all aluminum that is cut, crimped, and welded no matter what brand or who builds it. It is all about who you feel comfortable with and what you are looking at spending. I like the GT hauls no doubt, but their prices are crazy. If you can get basically the same boat for a fraction of the cost, whats wrong with that? It is all about checking out the product.

I have called GT and talked to Kyle and sounded like someone wanting/needing a sale, called Brother and never got a call back from him, called Steve Scully and was blunt and short, called Uncle J and talked to him for about 30 minutes about how he builds his boats, engine type, oil spill, etc. Read the above and see who you would feel comfortable about. I am getting J to build a boat and have to questions about it. Saw his work, liked it, and like Rebber and Shadow said, he is a good guy. I feel if anything goes wrong down the road, I'll just call him and he would do what he could to fix the issue.

Just do whatever you want man. If you want a custom boat, do it. It is your money. You come here for opinions and everyone has theirs. No one is right or wrong, its all about preference and finances.

Well all can add is I love My UNCLE J CUSTOM BOAT.I looked at other peoples boats made by everyone else around here.I did my homework and chose him,not because of price or the design he had,but the fact that when he built my boat i was there for every step.How high to make the sides,where to stop the front deck,and how far back to place the bench seat.I was there for every step.Helped him and his dad,freezing our nuts off with a 20mph wind blowing at his house.Matter a fact he built my first gas tank and i said it was big enough,but when it turned out not to be he built me a bigger one.No Questions asked.
