 Got my new boat started
Got my new boat started yesterday. its gonna be 20x48 with 22 inch sides, 1/8" sides with 3/16" bottom. rear pod seat, glove box, built in fuel tank, 5ft deck, wide gunnel, 19 1/2" transom, true double bottom with braces going both ways (2" flat bar laterals with tubing cross braces). I bought some DURALUX Aluminum boat Green paint today, (i think this is the one uncle J told me about) talked to a few people who used it and said its pretty tough stuff. anyways, i cant wait to get my new rig painted up and on the water to see what its got. oh an my new prodrive 36 will be in this thursday so i wont have to wait on that when my boats done

If Uncle J is building your boat, you wont have to worry about taking pics. He will keep you updated with pics every step of the way. In my opinion, you could not find a better guy to build a boat for you.
Good luck on the build and like cb said, please keep us updated.

Re: Got my new boat started
i have Charles Leonard building my boat for me. My grandpaw always had his skiffs built by him and we were always satisfied with his work so i went with him just from experience. I definitly aint builting it myself haha i can weld aluminum but its what they call gorilla welding, strong but ugly as hell...But I am sure I'll be hearing some crap from Uncle J lol
