 Homade Blind Qusetion? Has anyone used aluminum instead of galvinized pipe when buiding your pop-up blind. I was wondering if aluminum would be strong enough or would it sag to much on a 16'-17' span. If anyone has used aluminum, what size? Thanks for the help!!

Re: Homade Blind Qusetion?  I thought everyone used aluminum. Every one I've ever seen has been aluminum, including factory built blinds. Galv pipe seems like it'd be super heavy & rust.

Re: Homade Blind Qusetion? i use emt conduit, lightweight and ALOT cheaper than the aluminum. you can almost buy all the emt you would need for the price of a stick of aluminum

Re: Homade Blind Qusetion? ive had several made of emt and they worked fine. wipe down with vinegar and paint will stick good, if not it will pop off. i have an aluminum one now, just because a friend gave me the alum pipe. 3/4 inch and works fine too. its the camo not the frame that makes a blind work or fail. but make it simple and easy to put up

Re: Homade Blind Qusetion? Ive built all of mine out of emt. If you dont want it to sag just buy a smaller diameter and slide it into your rails.
