Post Excel Boats
Anyone have a review on this boat. Looks pretty good, I ordered a GTR 35 last week but I am having a hard time deciding on a hull.

Thanks.

Look to be well built as for as the strength isuue goes. But they also look heavy and look like they draft a good bit of water.

There is a nice gently used one for sale up here in N. Idaho if you are anywhere in the northwest.

I have run a lot of mud boat and motor combos, but never a Gatortail.

From what I have seen on this and other Forums everyone that pairs a Gatortail hull with their Gatortail motor is a happy camper. Why aren't you leaning in that direction?

I was looking at the excel web site. I noticed that they use 5052 for hull and 6063 for runners. Just a fyi both of those grades of alum are bendable. Not sure why they would use that type of alum other than price.

I personally rode in one of the new Excel boats at the MB roundup @ Livingston, and they are PIMPED out. The new style has 2 channels on the inside for guns and other stuff for the ride or if you hunt out of your boat. I found out also I own the 13th boat ever manufactured by Excel, and to my knowledge the boat has never had a problem.
