 need help centering motor...
i just got a geaux skiff with a short transom, well i have a tall transom motor raised up to make the difference. the boat runs good with the motor but has a tracking problem, in order to go straight i have to push the motor away from me like im making a right turn and you can see that the motor is turned but i have to do this to make the boat go straight. if i make the motor straight then it goes left. the motor is centered on the boat, it may be off 1/4" MAYBE. which way do i bend the skeg on the motor if im standing behind the motor? left or right?

 Re: need help centering motor...
Try trimming down too. Getting more prop in the water may help

 Re: need help centering motor...
Mine does the same thing when the boat is empty. the motor was perfectly center and holes were already drilled so i just deal with it.

 Re: need help centering motor...
THIS MIGHT SOUND CRAZY BUT MY MOTOR WAS PUSHING AGAINST ME AND IT WAS CENTERED I MOVED IT ABOUT 3/4" FROM CENTER AND IT GOT RID OF MY PROBLEM
