Post Trailer fitting
I have 18x60 mod v boat that I ordered a new trailer for. The dealer told me it's around $250 for them to fit the boat to the trailer. Besides moving the winch into the right spot, what else is done? Adjusting the bunks up and down? anyone have experience doing this yourself?

Move the winch, adjust the side bunks in.
Don't pay them to do that, they're ripping you off.

Adjusting the bunks - make sure they support the angle of that mod v bottom and come a couple a inches past the transom. Also adjust the height of the bunks. The winch is the easy part. It's not hard to do yourself if it's just the hull, it helps to have another person to help move the boat or else you have to get creative.

It's something that you want done right, a lot of boats get messed up and hooked from being on a misfit trailer.

It will be just the hull. I removed the outboard to repaint the boat. What's the rough gauge on getting the height right?

I like it to be as low as it can be without having to worry about the skeg hitting stuff. Makes it easier to launch on dirt or gravel ramps with low water.
