Should I add pods for more speed?
I just got a 23 backwater on my 1440 lowe, I can push about 18-19 alone. should I add pods for more speed? ive been told its more efficient to get a fabricator to make some specifically for my boat and they'll work better, a local aluminum fabricator said it would cost me about 600 total

I wouldn't do it expecting speed. You have a longtail. 18 is fine. Do it if you want to add flotation to the rear of the boat to help you carry a load better. That money would be better spent on gear or starting savings for a bigger boat if you frequently hunt with big loads or more than 2 people.
