 Motor mount width?
I’m building my own boat and second guessing myself on the motor mount width. Does anyone know what the right width is? I thought it was 12inches but looking online most outboards are 12 7/8 bolt pattern? I havent decided what I’ll run on this hull yet...

 Re: Motor mount width?
Go bigger if most patterns you're looking at are wider. You can always add on or cut off though sounds like you have the equipment to get the job done if it comes down to it.

 Re: Motor mount width?
I’m just trying to make it universal Incase I go from a mudmotor to an outboard. I’m thinking if I made it 15 inches wide and used 6inch channel vs 4 inch it would fit just about any motor bolt pattern

 Re: Motor mount width?
Make sure bolts aren't lined up with the edges of the channel--that's what happened to me and I had to have mine modified.
