 Trim wont work over 2500 RPMS

Post Trim wont work over 2500 RPMS
Gator Tail 40, anyone had this issue? The trim switch wont work when the engine is over 2500 rpms. Tried this in and out of the water. Makes its difficult to drive the right way when you cant adjust the trim without slowing down.
