Lookin' good!

However, I see a gap between the chine log and bottom like I said there would be. He'll just have to shave the chine with some plywood to make a flush, tight fit.

at it slow but steady.

Is he gonna seal one side or glass the seams ? I made some mistakes on mine! I know y'all find that hard to be leave :D so I am gonna resin the out side and boil lendseed oil on the inside . That way when water gets in it can leave out as water and not as a gas traped between to Layers of glass witch I was told would rot the wood!

No he made the mistake and glassed the bottom on that 18 footer he had made an
it rotted due to trapped water ,he's going to put a couple coats of a copper infused green
colored wood preservative, ( I don't remember the name of it) basically the same stuff
they put on the pressure treated stuff .you just can't put too much or your paint tends
to peel . I'll post pics of it when he gets to that point.

scarfs the sheets for robichoux lumber hasn't been able to due to the weather, anyways here

Also sorry I missed a couple answers from previous posts;
It's a 1548 , 66 across the top.
The sides are 1/4".
The bottom will be 3/8".

Nice job! Think I see he had to dig into the ply side panel a bit to flatten chine though.

Hopefully he can get his sheet for the bottom in sometime soon so he can get that
done and flipped back over. Also it's hard to tell looking at pictures , but it looks like he's
gonna have a good bit of room and that's what he shooting for.

I bought 3/8 marine ply from Robicheauxs last year. $200 per sheet. 2 sheets of 4 x 16. One broke in half at the scarf on the way back. Used on my skiff bottom and the other on pirogue I'm currently building.

Can't wait to see your stuffing box set up.
