Yes but only a couple of times when the wind shifted and was in our face. Wind at your back no problem at all. Got the raffia from Joseph M. Stern Co. – Raffia Grass http://jstern.com/ Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

 Re: Banded axe boat blind
I think I paid around $120 for 20 lbs of the plain color and then died it myself. That was 2 years ago.

Anyone have any pictures of this blind with the netting and raffia grass in the down position?

 Re: Banded axe boat blind
Iv got one and I got to say its the warmest easiest and best built blind iv ever used. Thing is tuff as nails. In a thunderstorm not one drop gets to you and it dosent get in the way in the boat (no space lost). I highly recommend this to any one. Easy up and easy down. Comes with rivnuts so it takes about 2 min to get off the boat. Haven't used it as a ground blind yet but I'm sure it will kill ducks with that to.

 Re: Banded axe boat blind
Whats the height of the blind without the legs? Is it possible to hunt from the blind sitting on buckets without the legs attached?

 Re: Banded axe boat blind
Would it be possible to install the blind in a boat with an open floor design? Seems like you would need a back deck or bench seat to secure it.

 Re: Banded axe boat blind
Its not tall enough to hunting out of without legs and you could weld a peice of something to the sides for the open floor plan.

 Re: Banded axe boat blind
Could make your own legs for the blind for a boat with an open layout, and then secure it down somehow.
