Re: For those about questions on Rake Length No I run it everywhere. Mud, vegetation, lilies, hard sandy bottom. Carry 1000 lbs or more.
I have had 4 grown men, 2 ice chest, all out shit to bring to camp for a weekend, ladder, my built in 15 gal tank full (up font), 2 - 6 gal cans, 2 doz deks, 4 guns and a yellow lab that is as fat as a f'n hippo and could get up and run 28-29 in deep water to get to camp. This longer rake hull runs better all over our lease than my buddies os the same dimension just with a shorter rake. Like I said, maybe I have an odd ball. Don't know.

Re: For those about questions on Rake Length My prop measures 11 3/4". With a new prop I would be faster. Oh and he runs NOS.

Re: For those about questions on Rake Length What I really want to do is get a new prop and send it straight to baggy to pitch. That should help lower my rpms. I shut it down at 5000 and it still wants to climb.

Re: For those about questions on Rake Length Bow rise and side hight play a big part in rake performance at any length . but more important is plane angle of boat. like some said its all a balancing act.
