 adding bow rails
im wanting to add bow rails on my gd boat. instead of having to take it to let someone weld them on do you thing brazing would be strong enough? that way i could do it myself....ive never done it before but i think i could tho. they will mainly be a point to place straps to keep my layout from flyn off da bow.

 Re: adding bow rails
If your going to burn paint off, why not do it the right way. If you try and braze it yourself... . Good luck....

 Re: adding bow rails
this vid gave me the idea that it would possibly be strong enough. a buddy had some work done on his boat and the welder gave him some brazing rods. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MMAQQpi ... re=related
