You guys have been awesome with the information, so I thought I might pass along some tips I got from Jerry about steelflex.

1. The superslick w/ teflon is the only way to go.
2. He recommends only 1 coat. Said it should provide adequate protection and you won't have to worry about the second coat not sticking to the first coat.
3. Use a short nap paint roller, but make sure it won't leave fibers
4. Mix small quantities at a time to prevent the steelflex from setting
5. This one suprised me...don't make the steelflex smooth. He said to make it similar to a spray in bed liner, a little smoother than that. He said if it is too smooth it will create a suction and negatively affect speed, etc!
6. 60 grit paper followed by acetone should be enough to prep it.

I think those are all the tips I got...hope they help.
