Never heard of someone putting a jack plate on a MM normally you see them on outboards but I guess the principle of moving the motor back 4" or so could work for your application. No reason to get a hydraulic one unless you do have an outboard with a tunnel hull etc.

I mounted a manual jack plate on a 1648 to run a stock 35MB tall transom and it worked great. It set back like a drop deck and i could tweek the transom hight. Also worked well when I would change over to a tiller outboard.

Can't remember which motor ya ended up with, but if it doesn't have pwr trim, ya could get a CMC trim unit. That would offset the motor and give ya pwr trim. ;)

Hate to be a "kill joy" but I would swap hulls if I wasn't happy and skip the pod thing...

But --- the closest real MM thing to a jack plate might be the Excel F4 duck boat with huntdeck...

Deadbird8 just bought one and here is a link to that thread...

Sounds like any easy way to go but it would only be taking a inch and a half off of the inside where it goes straight to angle on the pods so might just be as easy to take that little bit off?

I am not sure a jack plate could take the abuse????? They are not made to have motors kicking up ect. I would hate to read 2 weeks from now that your jack plate broke and your motor is on the bottom.

Just my .02
