 MM options for my boat???
Hey guys just got a 1554 Dura Craft hull and wanting to power it with a mud motor. I have been looking into the MB23 mini, it seems like a good fit with the weight and hp. I have never owned a MM and I don't know much about the different manufacturers any help will be great.

Thanks after looking into the GD motors I really like them the best I will have to try and setup a test run. My only draw back is still the weight of the motor compared to the MB 23HD mini.

Re: MM options for my boat???
my bro-n-law has a 35 hyper on a 16x54 and it runs great. wouldnt think a foot would make that much difference. i have a 23 mini on a 14x48 and it runs very well. your in the middle of these boats so i would try them both if you can. tall transom ide try the 35. short and i would try the 23.

Go with the 35 MB with the new CDI ignition system...your boat can handle the 35 and you will like the additional HP...trust me...

Or just stick with the GD and when all your budies MM are in the shop you can charge them a guide fee.

Re: MM options for my boat???
I had a GD....really liked the engine and everything. Not having a neutral sucks ass. You can deal with not having a reverse, but the neutral really sucks.
