What is the advantage to having a taller transom?? I would assume that the taller the transom, the higher the prop sits.... but i don't know... Thanks |

tall transom motors are for tall transom hulls. The prop is the same height. You just don't get as much bakwash with a tall transom compared to a short... |

I know the GT and PD are for a 20in transom. What if the transom is 19? |

I read someone the other day say there was a guy on here than ran a tall pd on a 19" transom and liked it. Think the guy was RC maybe? |

Pro-drive builds their tall transom at 19 1/2. My transom was supposed to be 20" but turned out to be more like 20 1/2. It still runs just fine. |
