I see a brand new set up over at Sterlings in New Iberia with the afore mentioned boat and motor combo.

I was just wondering if it's anybody from mmt and what kinda work you're getting done to it.

I don't see the benefit of having a hunt deck with a PD.

Yeah thats mine. Just got it first of July. Only taken it out once for about two hours. Been out offshore ever since. I'm getting a boat cover for it because my awesome neighborhood has a problem with Sheds in the back yard.

Dad bought a Gator Trax last year with a 40 Merc and had a cover from them put on. Been in the sun every day for 13 months w/o any problems. Looks as good as the day he bought the cover. They use a breathable fabric and you don't get the mildew like with a vinyl tarp. He sold be on it with the fact that he hasn't had one wire issue on the boat.

Wanted a better place for the pup to sit when hunting. Also never had one and wanted it. :D

It's a nice looking rig, have you put any reviews of the performance of it? If not, how did it do with the hunt deck? That's the first PD I've seen on one.

It runs good. For the amount of running I got. I was only able to run it about 2 hours in the Vermilion before I had to go offshore. Left the boat hooked to truck and got the wife to take it to Sterlings.

In the boat I had 3 batteries, 2 uncharged 1 from wife truck to crank the motor. ;) 9 gallons of fuel two full grown men 230 apiece and one good dog 100. In the deep water I was getting 23 mph and I don't have any numbers for shallow yet. Ran the boat 22 miles from Hwy 14 to Wa-Wees and back with a short break to refresh.

I don't think I got the motor trimmed good while running and was more happy just running the boat than getting good numbers. Been saving 5 years to buy this rig.

When I finally get to shore I plan on running a lot before the boss finds me and posting some better numbers.
