 Marsh fishing
New here. What's gone on. I am looking for suggestions for a Alweld hull size for a 36 prodrive for fishing mainly shallow marsh and small lakes. Was thinking bout a 1752 or 1756. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 Re: Marsh fishing
What are your typical running conditions, loads, etc?
Is there any reason you are looking at alweld boats? Or were you just trying to say you want an all welded boat? A boat built for a mm will perform much better than a boat designed and built for an outboard. 1848 is a very popular hull size. It will carry a load nicely, and is still small enough to fit into some skinny areas. 1752 or 1756 would also both be fine depending on where you're running.

 Re: Marsh fishing
I would suggest the 52" bottom if you are mainly fishing, I have a 52" bottom and it is very steady fishing two people and I can still run most skinny ditches in our area.

 Re: Marsh fishing
That's all I do is fish small lakes and in the marsh. No hunting out of it. A alweld brand type hull is lighter and cheaper than custom made and for what I want to do with it is good enough.

 Re: Marsh fishing
I had a 1754 and a 1748 on the duck lease out at Wallisville before Ike, the GTB 1860 I am now running will run faster than those boats under load.
