Alright guys most of you or some know that I have a 1860mvsld SEAARK with the stage 3 prodrive. I get a smooth 31 mph with it. What size boat do I need to go to to get my best speed with keeping some performance. I am looking at something that I can just haul the mail in. Would like to get in the upper 30's. I am open to all suggestions. Fire away. Any opinion is appreciated.

You mean stage 3 PRO drive right? A prodrive boat would be best suited to that motor. Now I'm no expert but they build they're boats to go with their motors. As far as I know they make a pretty damn good boat too. When it comes to size it depends on if you want the best speeds when empty or haulin a load.

Stage 3? One that has storage for a paddle.

i run an aucoin 18x48 all 1/8th, seen 34.8 mph with a stage 1 PD on it!

Whats the hurry?!?! Trying to set a record?! If your the fastest once with a blown motor in the end... is it really worth it?

If you want to go fast go with an 18-2048, but if you are running a modded stage three motor, get tall transom and higher sides, at least 22", seen to many 18" sided boats under water with that much power on the back. If you want to carry a big load the 48 will do well, but one of our 56" boats will run circles around the 48 with five-six men in it with a modded motor compared to the narrower boat with same load. You will give up a mile or two per hour with just you in the boats, but more then make up for it with a loaded speed.
