 Boat opinions....
What do ya'll think the performance difference would be between these two boats: Alweld 1644 flat(custom .100ga) and Alweld flat 1648(standard .100ga) both equipped with a 27hp PD? Thanks

 Re: Boat opinions....
Not enough difference for you to tell.. They are both really light boats.. The extra Couple inches are going to help you as much as the hurt you.. Wider is better with a load, but a bit slower in the mud. Either One with a 27PD will suit you fine.

 Re: Boat opinions....
Niether will perform all that great with a 27 hp on back unless you hunt along or with just one other guy. The 27 hp on a 16' foot boat is a fun rig with very light loads, but load it down and you will be going slow. You need to consider a longer boat to overcome the lower HP motor if you want to carry any kind of load. Look at an 1848 if possible, that is the best overall performing boat combo we have seen with the 27 PD. Our 1848 will plane with three adults and gear with the 27, the 16s you are considering will not most of the time (unless all your guys are 150# soaking wet).
