 Flat and Modified V Hull
What's the difference in running a 35hp surface drive on a flat and modified v hull? Is it a big no no to run one on a mod v hull? Thanks

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7705&p=80325&hilit=sportsman+fab#p80325there is a link to a review with a boat that is a semi-v/modded-v, it has a 36 PD and according to the review runs pretty good in all conditions. check it out. also its more in your opinion of what you want and the conditions you will be in most.

Re: Flat and Modified V Hull
We don't have much objects in the water here, but a fellow down the road runs a 35MB on a 16 foot mod-v hull, it does fine, stops and starts on the mud just like the rest of them. I will tell you this though - a mod-v hull isn't as stable as a flat bottom in the water, it rocks a little more.

Re: Flat and Modified V Hull
they are all gonna hook/dent no matter da style bottom. the only thing you can do is put a lil thicker aluminum bottom suck as 3/16 instead of 1/8 and maybe some extra bracing or somthing but it still will hook just not as easy.
