Im just curious is to why yall have those tall mounts for yalls lights. All the boat builders and welders on here cant come up with something else? Me and pops built these a few years back and they seem to work okay. made out of 1/8 inch alum and welded all around. they hold up great and are low profile. Thanks for any input!! |

I have my lights mounted pretty much the same as yours. But my bow nav light is on a pole about 2" above the running ligths. Perfectly legaly |

I looked up the law in Ark, basicly says you have to have sufficient lighting to been seen at night and have the nav lights. I'm good. Plus I have ran into the game warden twice and he never mentioned anything about the lights. |

When we are running in the bayous around here we dont have any lights on at all its easier to see i think i hate lighting up the whole freaking place and we are also like the only people who hunt around here anymore most people just go north. my dad has been on these bayous his whole life and when im behind him i may not know where im at be he just does both our boats have the light just never turn them on at 4 in the morning |

Wow u guys are nuts. Up here in iowa we don't have near the stumps as you southern boys. I got 4 head lights 100w on the front of the boat nav lights and at least one q beam usually 2 in the boat. I want to go huntin not get the boat f-d up cause I missed that log or stump I should have seen. As far as I am concerned lights are my friend. plus it makes it a heck of a lot easier to toss decoys when You are able to light em up. ![]() ![]() |

Gotta do what you gotta do! You make money to spend it! And i live to fix on my chit! Run it like you stole it or leave it at the house! And yes we do have a ton of stumps and cypress knees in the places i hunt. dont cut it any slack!! |

if they can get a skitter or rim to where we hunt "you have to jump dams" and there is no current then i have some respect for the sobs. i go like north la hunter only time we run with lights is after storms and heavy rain/wind it moves stuff other then that never hit anything/ bumbed anything we didnt already know that we would, at times im running in a old beaver run that is like three feet wide and all those light make it so much harder i do turn lights on for decoys its easier by not for much else and btw try running this thick a#$ fog that you can cut with a knife with any lights its almost impossible it even makes stuff worse |
