Post subject:  Question for ya'll about a boat

I'm looking to buy a duck boat and came accross a Go-Devil low profile duck blind. Do any of ya'll have 1 on ever been in 1? Just wondering how fast it goes and if it does well in the mud? I was going to put a 27hp mud buddy on it. I just don't know a lot about these boats. It looks great but I'm just not sure. The thing is freaking wide!!!! it is 16ft by 7ft!!!

But just asking. thanks for the help!!!!!

dont expect to be breakin any speed records man, and its gunna be hard to manuver in tight places. Are you only wantin a boat to hunt out of or do you do some other things on the water?

Just to hunt out of. I have other boats for fishing and other stuff. I thought the same thing. It wouldn't be fast. It basically looks like a barge to me. But it looks good. The Go-Devil web site says it will do 14 mph with a 27 hp with 3 guys in it. I don't know about that. But really I was wondering about how it does in mud (in less than 3-4 inches of water)? I hunt the marsh and back in the timber. I know this boat has limitations to timber hunting but I dont go in the thick stuff very often.

If you have ever hunted out of one of these, how did it feel and how many people did you have room for without feeling like a can of sardines????

Just asking hoping someone can give an opinion other than what I've already read.

Thanks.

That's a big slow ride dude. I think you would wish you had a plain old boat that you could do anything with, the blinds seem to be for people with a specific need for one, that don't have far to go. But.....if you had the money to put dual 35's on it......
