Brand new set up with a 23 gdlt - but with my big ass and my cousins bigger ass we do about 5 - 10 mph and it sucks - so the long tail has gotta go - my delima is motor size - i am going with a gator tail and the boat is rated for a 35 - but i wanted to ask you guys about what should work best for my boat size 23 or 35? i have a 1644 Godevil boat with rounded chines and a 16" transom that is tapered. 10 galon aluminum fuel tank mounted in front. Comments and suggestions are welcome |

35 deffentally want the load cap. so you can still curse across the lake or swamp. |

I would go with the 35 and look into building up the transom to 21" so you can buy the tall transom GTR and you wont have as much backwash when slowing down or in reverse. |

From personal experience, da 35 all da way!!!! Mine had a 35 GT on it before I bought it, now it has a MB HD4000. |

Get that 35. Run it without mods...until you save enough$ to do some proper MODs if that is what you want to do. |

I test drove a GD1648 with a 23 GDSD. With three people (2 not very big) and no extra load it was too slow. I then bought a 1644 just like yours and went straight to the 35 GDSD. 3 guys and a hunting load and it still went plenty fast. Only reason not to go with a 35 is if you can't afford it. You'll be very happy you did. |

Thanks - I appreciate the input from everyone - i guess its time to put the gdlt up for sale ! And go buy a 35 GTR |
