Went to Belle River today and got to see my boat all framed up. Tomorrow if everything goes right they said I should be putting it on my trailer in the evening, if not by saturday around noon. so i am pretty pumped up. Gonna paint it this weekend and run wires, Hanging a 2010 pd on it monday.

This my friends is what is called building by "guess and by god". Or what is more commonly referred to as "trial and error". Once all the errors are made one ends up with a fairly nice boat. There are easier ways to do this and one is assured the boat will look like you planned it. Lofting and expanding panels facilitate the process. Not knocking the builder, cause I've seen beautiful hulls built the old fashioned way.

Thanks for all the compliments. We put in the front deck and ribs today. Tomorrow we gonna finish it all up. Just gotta put in double bottom, weld a lil and do some grinding and make rear seat. I am getting my engine from Bart in Franklin. It's already in I went see it yesterday morning. It's been in since last Thursday. Only took 3 days to come in. Got all my stuff for my boat all I need to do is pull that bastard to Franklin and fix her up. Hoping to hang motor on Monday. Uncle j I gonna be busy with my boat tomorrow but I appreciate the invite man. Oh and how long should I let that durlax paint set before I run it? Is a day or two ok?

well i got my boat in yesterday evening. today i am painting the outside. Apparently 1 gallon will not be enough for outside and inside. so i will get another gallon next time i come in from offshore and do the inside, in the mean time i am gonna go run it either tomorrow or tuesday. i cant wait. I will make a review on the boat as soon as i get back from running it. Charles makes some nice boats. Im not gonna compare to anyone elses builds because i think its all in personal opinion. My family has always had good luck with charles boats so i went with him. I love my boat and have been getting alot of peoples attention and compliments when they pass by the house. Will post more pics up tonight

Boatbuilding "by guess and by god" is an old saying for the process of taking what has worked well for others I the past, improving on it. Boats have been built like this for thousands of years. It was not an insult but a compliment.
