I have been having problems with porpoising and the nose of the boat shooting up in the air on take off and I tried moving as much weight as I can forward and still porpoises. So I did some research on here about wedges/ trim tab and I was thinking about getting about 1.5 or 2" angle about 1/8" thick and putting two tabs on each side of the transom about 4" or 5" long. I wanted to try them out first before I make them permenant so I was think about using a two part epoxy and temporary putting them on there to see if it solves my problem. I have seen on post that people have done that on the wedges but havent heard about trim tabs. I just want to know if it will work. Also for anybody that has put the trim tabs on there boat do you have problems with them bending really bad when going through skinny water and mud?? I was considering bolting them on and using 5200 so if they did start to bend really bad I could replace them myself with out a welder doing if for way to much money. Thanks |

Bennett stainless tabs will break your transom befoe they break. Sea search trim tabs in this forum...plenty discussion already |

What boat/motor are you running? Maybe you can make some adjustments elsewhere... |

dguidry....them tabs look good!!!!.have you run those tabs over ground yet...some areas I hunt require sliding over some wet ground and that would seem like an enormous amount of pressure on those tabs...I drive though some places that they would be hitting ground/ mud often. I know you said they are very sturdy but still a little worried.. |
