I'm thinking about putting a gtr35 on a G3 1852. Will this be enough motor? Three men, a dog, and 75+ decoys. And how will it perform in shallow water, weeds, mud, etc…Any info will be greatly appreciated. |

It will work but you will not see da full potential of any MM brand on a hull dat is not designed for one. |

I wish i could get a gator tail boat but but thats not an option right now. What is the difference between a boat that is designed for a mud motor and one that is not? |

A hull designed for a MM will have a flat bottom (no ribs and no semi V), it will have longitudal bracing to keep from gettin hooked, it will have a 1/8th or 3/16th inch bottom, it will have a heavily reinforced transom. |

Fer starters the 35 hp MM is about 200 lbs heavier than the outboard and the MM will beat the transom somethin fierce when trailering too.... Then the terain that the MM will plow thru is hard on the thinner hull... Lastly the ribs add about 20 percent more area for drag - so not only is the regular hull harder to break out of the mud, but it is slower at WOT and won't carry as much weight thru the muck... But it works so have fun, but think about gettin the MM hull next year... |

Just a pice of advice. I did the same thing last duck season bought a MM and then just bought any hull. well needless to say i used it 2 months and sold it for a new MM and hull. I lost about 3000 dollers by the time it was all said and done |
