Im thinking about buying a 1748 X series tall transom tall sides and putting my 36 PD on it. I was hoping for a 1848 but I waited to long. Anyone running this setup who can tell me how it will perform. Im in Longview texas so I mainly run stumps and veggies. I gotta make a desision soon, any info would be nice. |

Got a buddy in Marshall running a 1748 pd, tall transom, short sides...Its a good package. Only time I've really ridden in it, we were running right around 20 with 3 big boys and 2 girls, stereo cooler, and a big cooler full of ice and beer. We were running around 23-24 with just the 3 guys and coolers. Has a brand new 36 cdi on it. |

I run a 1748 with the 36. I have the short transom and short sides. It handles good and had decint top end speed. I don't have any mods on it and i would estimate my speeds around 22-25 with a hunting load. If it were me an i could do it over agin i would go tall sides and tall transom. 3inches don't seem like alot till you run sum biger waves Just my opinion. its a great combo well worth the money. don't rush though get what you want and do it right the first time |

I have a 17x56 w/ 36PD and it is perfect for what I use it for. I haven't had it long and I haven't had a GPS in it but last weekend and with 2 guys, 6 gal of gas, a 75lb lab it will run 23mph, all stock. I love the boat and wouldn't hesitate to own a 48 instead of the 56 but if I had my druthers I would probably get the 56 again. |

I went out on a demo on the boat and was sold. Bought the boat and I headed out to Caddo on Sunday. |
