What blind on boat w/ a longtail?
Are there any certain blinds that will not work if you have a longtail on your boat? Obviously I can't do a permanent blind because I wouldn't be able to swing the motor back in for travel. Just curious if there was any other blinds like the BT or Avery that would be the same way?

I have the MB flip over blind on mine. I have used on a rig witha longtail and now with my SD. I dont think the Avery will work unless you buy the mud motor bracket with it because it has a bracket that goes across the back of the boat other wise, I might be wrong on that but I use to have one and even with the long handle on my old outboard was a pain.

Cant speak for the pop ups. I ran one for a couple years with my old long tail but it was homemade and no issues. I also ran a hard side blind with the LT I just cut a door to swing it in. I have also seen where guys have hinged the back half so they could swing there motor in.

Re: What blind on boat w/ a longtail?
I have the Northern Flight. I did a little 'Dangineering' as my buddy would say and modified the rear cross bar. I cut the bars and took them to a welder to make it work. The cross bar goes from the gunnel to just inside of the gun boxes then makes a right angle turn downwards 9 inches then another right angle turn towards the center. I then cut 9 inches off the FRONT of the left side U shaped bar. This keeps the left side of the blind level. I then had 9 inches added to the stern end of the right side U shaped bar. This keeps the right side level and makes up for the stern cross bar being lowered in the middle. It also makes the right side higher than the left side and we keep that higher side behind us when we hunt.
If you want, I'll take pics this weekend (If I can remember) and post them.
