Is it normal to have alot of torque when you are riding in mud? when i go in pure mud my motor wants to turn the boat to the left really bad, i have to really push on the handle to keep it strait. is this normal? in deep water it is not noticable hardly and sometimes no pull at all. only when i get in very shallow to no water does it do this. help anyone?? |

I would think that is normal. On my boat its not that bad in thick mud but it want to dig down and then left some if i try to turn it can be really bad. |

it is because the prop is grabbing the mudd therefor pulling the tiller handle against you making the boat want to go left. Prop is wanting to walk across the mudd, very normal for a mud motor. you can trim down a hair and it'll reduce the tiller torque a little |

Mine does it too but its not hard at all. I think its mainly because the skeg is bent a little bit. |
