Meant to ask thins question, work cut me off. I know I use my boat different than most here but does anyone run trolling motors on their rigs? What is adequate for a 19X60? I want to go 12 volt to keep the weight down. |

what you gona be trolling in? i would go with atleast a 70lb and deffinatly a 24v, yea thats an extra battery but that big boat will carry it no problem. you will drain a battery quick on a 45lb 12v on that size boat! |

Well I will have a converter and generator on board so drainage shouldn't be an issue. Mostly coastal outta the wind as i'll be flounder gigging. |

Academy had these lil 40lb MinnKota short shaft fer 79.95 the other day and I had me a 10 off cupon in the mail - so it got bought.... Works pretty well on my rig - feels like plenty of thrust - just slapped it on the transom next to the MM.... Now gotta fab up a mount fer the pirouge too.... |

I run a minn kota riptide 55lbs. Itll haul pretty fast. With that big of a boat i would go at least 45. |
