im planning on getting a new troling motor for my 20x44 godevil boat. i want a bow mount one but they all seem to be 24 volt and id like to stay away from carrying two extra betteries. does anyone have or know of a bow mount 12 volt? and what lb thrust do yall recommend to push my boat? ill just be doing a little bass fishin out of this boat maby troling about 1/2 mile at a time.

They make a 55lb thrust 12V.

I use the 50 lb edge and have been happy with it. I also prefer Minn Kota over Motorguide.

I have the minn kota edge hand control brand new and never used it.

Bow Mount and its atleast the 40 lb thrust

I got it on sale at cabelas 2 years ago for like $175 and would be willing to get rid of it if you anyone is interested

I've got the 12v hand control edge. It works well on my boat.

I got a 1 year old MinnKota Power Drive V2 70# thrust, 54" shaft with add on CoPilot I'll sell ya. It's a 24 volt system though.

If you are looking at getting a wireless one, I would recommend using one first. The remote works well, but is hard to fish at the same time. The foot control is too difficult to use as well. Just my
