 Re: GT BOAT LAYOUT
Its all about what you want. I have the gun box and I like to have the storage but be warned having storage space means you will fill it with chit. That is the only con that I have with the gun box.
Here is a pic of mine

 Re: GT BOAT LAYOUT
I have GT 17x54 with the small box in the back to sit and drive and a rod/gun (7' 1/2 )box pushed up to the front, enough space for my trolling motor battery in the very front.... If I did it again I would get a gun box to sit on (5'), and keep the rod box It wouldnt take up that much more room.

 Re: GT BOAT LAYOUT
If you get a storage box to sit on to drive I would ask if they could make it about 2" taller, it seems low to me.

 Re: GT BOAT LAYOUT
i went with the rod box too, but they way they do em sticks out too much, i had em raise it so its even with the front deck and weld it into the side of the boat, check out my review

 Re: GT BOAT LAYOUT
I have a 18x60 extreme and got the gun box, the rod box and the small box in the back, I really like having all of my stuff out of the weather and out of sight, I have no regrets.
