what ya'll think of the 16 foot gator trax with a 23 mud buddy. i saw it at bass pro shop in denham springs the other day. |

If it is the guide edition i'd go 36 HP. Dad bought a 1650 and tried a 25 Merc on it and it wasn't that great. Got a 40 Merc and it is bad. 27 to 30 mph w/o problem w/ 2 men 250 and 1 dog 100. I got the 1650 w/ hunt deck and the 36 Prodrive pushes it around 23 deep and 25-27 shallow same loade as above. If it the Rouge the smaller motor should work but I'd talk to Kent Saxton over at Gator Trax before buying anything. Tell him what you want to do and he'll let you know what HP you'll need. |
