I have 23 hp gdsd and a 25 hp yamaha i thinking about getting the g3 1548 vbw. I put the 25 on during the summer to fish and the 23gdsd to hunt. How well will the 23 gdsd push the g3 boat. i currently have 1542 that just plows only getting 14-17mph. would the g3 get me over 20mph?

I wouldnt waste your time.. I have an xpress now that is a good boat, just not a good boat for a mudmotor. It is not worth spending the money on a surface drive and having a boat not made for it. I am selling my boat as soon as the season ends and getting a mud hull. If i were you i would get a mud hull and just put an outboard on it in the summer
