Post Is this a fair price on Go Devil boat with LT mud buddy?
I currently have a Polar Kraft 1448 with a 25 HP Johnson I got cheap and I am thinking of turning it for a profit and buying a go devil boat. A guy I know has a 98 model 1656 with a 2003 29 HP Kawasaki Mud buddy. It has 6 hours on the motor and has been kept inside. It also comes with an avery blind and two brand new props. He wants $6000 but I think I can buy it for $5200 or $5500. It is in super condition and I know this guy takes good care of his stuff. Is it worth that, if not, what is a fair price?

Sounds like the motor is in good shape, if the boat, blind and trailer and in good condition I think 5200.00 would be a fair price. But it all comes down to how bad he wants to move the rig and how bad you want it.... Hard to say w/o seeing the rig in person...

His whole rig is in great shape, it is not beat up at all. He sold his other mudmotor for this one and it had like 40 hours on it. He wanted a bigger one.

I was figuring on about $2200 out of my boat. It has 2 deep cycle batteries, Evinrude trolling motor, Lowrance depth finder, 2 fuel tanks. It has always been kept inside and has been ran very little. It may have 20 hours on the motor and cranks right up and it is electric start.

Sounds like a fair price on your boat, but seems a lil high on his. I'm havin a hard time with a 2003 model motor only havin 4 hrs on it. Either he's not tellin ya the truth about the hrs, or this thing hasn't been used at all. I can put 4 hrs on a motor in a day, that motor's 8 yrs old, no way that's correct.

I believe he is telling the truth, I have known him my whole life. I am not sure he ever even hunted out of it after he bought it. The main reason was his dad hunted with him and he had a bad heart attack right after they got the new motor. He was never able to really hunt again. I too thought he was a tad high though. It has set for so long in his shop that one of the fuel lines had even dry rotted.
