I am looking at putting a 20hp LT on a Grizzly 1542 with a 19" transom. Do yall think it would work or should I be looking for a short transom boat. I am very new to the mud motor world and knew you fellas could shed some light for me. Thanks, Clent |

if you already have the boat, its pretty common practice to cut down a tall transom to fit a short transom motor. any boat builder can do it for you |

I thought it was a tall transom, it is actually 15". I don't have the boat yet, just looking. If it was in my budget, I would rather have a GD 1644. I only have about $2800 to spend on this project so I am piecing a rig. I would not be in mud that often but would be in shallow, salad type areas. Thanks for the input. |
