running tracker sportsman in the mud
I'm gonna run my Tracker sportsman in the mud. There aren't many but there's a few rivets on the bottom. Am I gonna have problems w/ them possibly getting ripped out? Is there anything I can use to protect them so I won't have problems?....Thanks

Re: running tracker sportsman in the mud
Go to your local autozone and buy all the duct tape and superglue you can find... slick the bottom up completly with the duct tape and glue the rivets in place.

You should be ok as long as you are not hitting stuff in the mud. Mud is soft enough it wont really tear up your boat. It is stumps and rocks that you need to watch out for. I have also heard of people putting coat it on the bottom of their boats to protect the rivets but i dont know how well it works.

Mud dosen't hurt rivets. Rocks do. Wood doesen't do much unless you dent the bottom and expose the rivet to allow it to catch. Riveted boats are usually thinner skinned than welded boats and thats the problem. That said riveted boats get a bad rap but they are light, tough and run for years. Run your boat and have a ball.
