Hey y'all, I posted a while ago about how this motor wasn't pulling up to my expectations on my flats rig. I decided to pull the trigger and change over to a 50 outboard with that boat as the boat and the GTR deserve to be rigged with the right motor and boat pair. Now I have this 23 GTR with carb and exhaust sitting around not getting sold fast enough and I'm debating if I want to put it on a boat, if it would sell faster or if I could get good enough numbers to warrant keeping it. What boat would do best with this motor? I believe a GTB would be best, but I believe they make them all in tall transom....I suppose I could see if there's a GTB with a hunt deck that can be built with a short transom? I'd like to hear thoughts from the boat builders on the kind of boat this motor should be on. |

Build up the sides of ther transom.. Ill post pics later how mine is done |

If u dont end up getting the boat maybe be interested in selling the carb and exhaust? Just a thought hard as hell to find a used carb and exhaust. |

i think gator tail makes a 1646 or 1746 in short transom with a hunt deck.....it would pair well with that motor........what boat were you running? |
