 Grab Bar Ideas?
Anyone make their own grab bar?
I was using a "backsaver" snow shovel handle and bolted a seat pedestal pin to it. I put it in the nearest seat base, which was the nearest seat in the pic below.
It worked pretty good since the handle was curved and it put the handle in a good position. It only lasted a couple of seasonsn though.
I could also look at welding(?) onto the side rail or pod something more typical.
Any ideas??

OK I will change the request to which grab bar do you like best. I would like to have one that I am not tripping over when it is not in use. It would be nice to have a removable one that slides into a gunnel bracket of sorts.

Are your legs to the side or out front when you drive?

 Re: Grab Bar Ideas?
I had support slots welded both ways in my gator trax. That way I can have the grab bar in front of me when running crap where I need a oh sh!t bar to grab onto. But I can also pick it up and swing it out of my way so that if i want to sit with my feet facing the front of the boat I can do so. i would take pics, but my boat is in the shop getting some mods done. you will need three support slots for your grab bar. one for the right side post. One for the left when the grab bar is facing you. Then pick up your grab bar and swing it out of the way. mark where the other post touches the deck when you swing it out of your way and weld your other support slot there. make the right side support post slightly taller than the others so your grab bar doesnt come completely out when you swing it back and forth. that way you only have to line up one post when you put it back down. hope this makes sense
